The Grace Dream

THE GRACE DREAM

As I have ministered abroad, I have mentioned portions of my most recent dream and a multitude of people have often asked me:"Scott, why don't you publish that, get that dream out there for people to hear, that is awesome." etc.... --After much prayer and seeking God, I have decided to take that step and make my dream available to others in written form via an article.

The following is the dream I had recently which has quickly become titled: "The Grace Dream" by many people that I have mentioned portions of it to.

Let's not continue to gather at the river, let's just jump in, shall we?

For months prior, God had been dealing with me about some things. I come to learn that the prodigal was not the one that left home, but rather was the oldest son - at the ending of the story, he was left outside pouting, while his father went inside and joined the feast and party, because the youngest son had come home! - I found it interesting that the scripture ended there. It was like God was letting us choose whether or not we would enter in and join the feast with our Father and our other brother, or would we just stand outside the house and pout? -- Then I began to notice scripture more closely - Jesus told a parable about hiring folks to work -- some in the morning and some at noon and then others near the end of the day. When He had paid them all the same thing - the ones that had been there the whole time got angry and pouted - wanting to know why others got the "same reward" as they did. -- Their complaint and pouting was identical to the oldest son in the prodigal story..... I spent months seeking God and fervently asked Him to show me whatever it was He was trying to teach me....

I went to bed and when I had fell asleep the dream began and when I awoke, I had full detail a remembrance.

THE DREAM:

In the Father's realm there was a huge table. The table was so huge, it seemed it would take eternity to see everything on it. The table was covered with a feast. There was wine, food, water, bread and everything else that you could think of. As I walked into the door of this room, I walked straight to my seat. The strange thing is that I knew 'exactly' where my seat was. I knew right where to go and sit down. There were many many others already in there sitting and waiting.

As I watched people come through the door, they too would walk straight to their seat and sit down. Every one knew where to sit. No one was talking, there was absolute silence. There was sense that the feast wouldn't begin until the last son or daughter had arrived and taken his or her seat at the table. I saw people that I knew. I saw family. I saw strangers. I saw Jesus and the disciples. I looked and saw empty seats, and knew that is what we were waiting on. Those seats had to be filled before we begun the supper. Finally, the last person came in and sat down in the last remaining seat.

Then the silence lifted slightly, as every one began to notice who it was that was sitting next to them on each side. On every person in there's left side was the one that hurt them the most in life. The one that absolutely broke their heart. And on every ones right side was the one that they had hurt the most in life.

As I looked to my left, I saw the face of the person that hurt me the most, the one that broke my heart the worst in this life. The one that I considered my enemy. Then I turned to my right and I saw the face of the one that I hurt the most in this life. The one that I had literally crushed.. This was quickly recognized as a circle that each person had the one that hurt them most on their left side and the one that they had hurt the most was on each ones right...... I quickly remembered, that is why, when the disciples asked Jesus if they could sit on His right and on His left -- He told them - they .."didn't know what they were asking, those seats were already prepared by the Father.".... - Then I heard a sound. It was a sound that I have never heard before in this life. It was the sound of forgiveness, and it came rushing around the table - as the person on each persons left began to ask each one on their right for forgiveness. It was a sound of fervently asking for forgiveness and being forgiven.

When it came to me, I turned to that one on my left and with tears flowing they were begging me for my forgiveness of how they treated me, and I forgave them...Then I had to turn to my right and see that person that I had hurt the most, and I began to cry as I asked them to please forgive me for hurting them, and that person forgave me. --

The rushing sound of weeping and laughing mingled together, and as the sound went on around the table and approached the end where Jesus was sitting - I quickly looked up, and I saw Jesus kiss Judas on the cheek................. then I woke up in my bed with tears flowing.......and I heard my Father say to me. "Careful whose sin you retain. - for if you don't forgive, then you won't be forgiven......Love your enemies, bless those that blame you.... For I have told you, I Am Love and My grace is extended to those that need it the most......."
