A truly inspiring story. Until September 12, 1991, Darcy's life was pretty normal. A gifted student in actuarial science at Ball State University in Muncie Indiana, this attractive, intelligent and popular 22-year-old led an active, normal collegiate life. Then tragedy struck. She was riding home with four sorority sisters from a function at Morehead State University in Morehead, KY., when their car was hit from behind by a semi-tractor trailer. The car they were in was totally crushed by an impact so great that the license plate from the truck was imprinted into the crumpled side panel of their car. Two of Darcy's friends in the back seat with her were killed instantly. Yet Darcy was able to survive due in large part to her determination and hope to live.

My premise is that the Bible has, indeed, equipped us with all we need pertaining to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). This includes addictions, which are addressed in God's Word. Secular counseling does not provide what is needed to truly become a new creation - a regenerate spirit can only come from the Holy Spirit.

As a mother of eight, I learned early on how to make ends meet by sewing and crocheting. Almost fourteen years ago while visiting my children and grandchildren in Oregon I decided to make a Victorian bear to match a daughter's home décor. It was a hassle to make and I told myself if I ever made another one I would modify the pattern. That was the end of my bear venture and I had no interest in ever making another teddy bear.
Upon my return flight to my home which was at that time in western New York, a Rhema word that I literally heard said, "You will make teddy bears out of sweaters." The Lord also said that I would have state of the art computer equipment. The last sentence was left hanging in the air.
I remember questioning the Lord saying, "Have you ever cut into a sweater?"
