What do we do after we ask Jesus to be our Lord?

Jesus came to this earth via a virgin birth, and he died on the cross for our sins. He rose from the dead on the third day by the power of the Holy Spirit. Today Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us. Jesus is our eternal High Priest.

Because of all of this we can trade this life (our self will, wants and desires) and live for him by the Spirit and do what he wants us to do. Because of Jesus we can be counted in right standing with the Father and be relieved of our eternal fate of separation from the Father. This would have been our fate because of sin the penalty for sin is death, but with Jesus we will be resurrected by the same power of the Holy Spirit that gives life. This is the whole reason Jesus came to the world so that we in Him can have life more abundantly.

First here on earth where the kingdom is inside of us by the Holy Spirit and when we pass away from this earth.

Here are some key scriptures. There are many other scriptures in the bible that reveal who Jesus is and what he did for us. I personally enjoymyrelationship with Jesus. If I do not have understanding of what a scripture means or which scripture applies to my situation, I can ask the Holy Spirit and he will reveal the true meaning.

This understanding is available to every believer.

This takes out the middle manand helps us be free in Christ. To Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, say:

Jesus I believe what the bible says about you. Ibelieve I'm a sinner and I need to repent of my sins andand turn to God. Iaccept yourfree gift of salvation. I believe I can do nothing to earn salvation. It is a gift that only you can give. I believe you are the only way to the Father. I do repent of my sinful ways. I do accept your gift of salvation. I trade my life to follow you. Ihave more questions, so please teach me.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

2 Corinthians 6:18 And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."

Romans 5:6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.

Romans 10:9 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Roman 8:1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

Luke 14:33 So no one can become my disciple without giving up everything for me.

Luke 9:24 If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life.

Lord Jesus I ask now to receive the Holy Spirit. I ask that you teach me how to live in the kingdom. I ask to be led by the Holy Spirit,so I will be a Son or Daughter of God. Lord I ask that you reveal my gifts and calling to me,and give me the understanding ofhow and where I fit in your church body.

Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Each of you must turn from your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

1 Corinthians 12:27 Now all of you together are Christ's body, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part of it.

1 Peter 4:10 God has given gifts to each of you from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Manage them well so that God's generosity can flow through you.

Ephesians 4:11 He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.

1 Corinthians 12:7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church.

1 Corinthians 12:11It is the one and only Holy Spirit who distributes these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have. See Gifts 1 Cor 12:8-10

Lord Jesus, show me how to follow your example and become a new person by changing the way I think. Teach me to hear Your Voice in my spirit, so I will know what God's perfect will for my life is, and as I abide in you and you abide in me, I will produce the fruit of the Spirit and help others do the same. I ask you these things today as I start my new life in you. Amen!!

Romans 12:2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
